The direct supply of green electricity to businesses is increasingly becoming a common and profitable business model for new renewable energy plants due to the avoided network charges, levies and taxes, which is contractually regulated by so-called on-site PPAs. However, since this decentralized delivery model does not provide full supply, many things have to be taken into account in advance and when drawing up the contract.

The ongoing debate shows that ideas and strategies are needed as to how small hydropower can best assert itself in the economy and society with intelligent concepts for protecting the environment – and these are precisely the things that will be discussed at the forum.

From September 25th to 26th, 2024, the Competence Network for Decentralized Energy Technologies eV (deENet) and the LEA LandesEnergieAgentur Hessen GmbH (LEA Hessen) are organizing the Energy & Climate Future Forum. Over 1,000 energy and climate experts from all over Germany are expected at the two-day specialist congress in the documenta hall in Kassel.

The event is aimed at representatives from the energy industry, municipalities and small and medium-sized companies and offers an extensive program of specialist lectures, workshops and discussion panels on the central fields of action of electricity, heat and sustainable financing. The focus is on the feasibility of projects and corresponding best practice examples. An accompanying specialist exhibition also offers insights into the solutions offered by over 20 companies, funding providers and other organizations.

Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week – 7 – 10 October 2024 – Helsinki, Finland

The Renewable Energy Grid Integration Week comprises three high-quality conferences on grid integration of renewable energies and attracts participants from all over the world. In 2024, the 8 ^th E-Mobility Power System Integration Symposium , the 2 ^nd Hydrogen Power System Integration Symposium and the 23 ^nd Wind & Solar Integration Workshop take place in Helsinki, Finland from 7 – 10 October 2024.
