Was macht ihr und was unterscheidet euch von euren Wettbewerbern?Delta Charge develops intelligent energy and charging systems for electric truck fleets, optimising power flows across on-site charging, battery storage, and grid interaction in one integrated platform. Our core differentiation lies in energy optimisation that combines behind-the-meter and front-of-the-meter use cases, turning constrained depot sites into flexible energy assets. Unlike traditional charging providers or standalone BESS developers, we design, finance, and operate the full system as a service. This enables fleet operators to electrify at scale while reducing both energy costs and grid dependency.
Wie schätzt ihr den Markt 2026 in eurem Tätigkeitsfeld ein?In 2026, an increasing number of electric truck use cases will surpass the total cost of ownership (TCO) tipping point, with electric trucks moving from pilot deployments into scaled fleet rollouts across Europe. Grid capacity and connection timelines will become the main bottlenecks, rather than vehicle availability or charging hardware. This will drive strong demand for integrated, behind-the-meter energy solutions that enable fast deployment despite grid constraints. As a result, energy and charging infrastructure will increasingly be planned and operated as one system rather than separate assets.
Was sind eure größten Herausforderungen? One of our biggest challenges is meeting the rapidly growing demand from customers for deep battery and energy system expertise. In parallel, we work closely with DSOs to manage grid constraints and long connection timelines while electrification demand is already materialising. A key challenge in system design is delivering solutions that meet customer needs today, while being engineered to scale seamlessly as electric truck fleets roll out over time.
Welche Wünsche habt ihr an an Politik, Netzbetreiber und andere?Policymakers should recognise logistics depots as future providers of system flexibility and create clear, stable frameworks for their participation in grid services and energy markets. Grid operators should treat electric fleets as partners in a resilient power system, enabling early coordination, greater transparency on local constraints, and joint solutions for storage and load management. At the same time, industry players should accelerate interoperable standards for megawatt charging and bidirectional charging, while continuing to invest in battery technology and integrated energy management solutions.
